Queen excluders are devices placed between the brood box and honey super in a beehive to prevent the queen from laying eggs in the honey supers. The excluder has small, tightly spaced openings that allow worker bees to pass through but prevent the larger queen from entering. This ensures that the honey stored in the supers remains free from brood, thus making it easier to extract the honey frames.
